Helmy Abouleish, (c) Managing Director of the leading Egyptian Organic foods and products producer, Sekem Group, watches as Egyptian women prepare fresh dates for market at the Sekem farm Nov 4, 2008 in Belbeis, Egypt. Helmy's father, Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish founded the project in 1977 on what was then barren desert, and since has grown it into a lush oasis ecompassing several farms, production plants, schools and even a local medical facility.
