Al Bashrah Oil Terminal (ABOT), Arabian gulf

A sailor aboard the cyclone class US Navy Patrol Ship USS Typhoon scans the horizon for any suspicious ship activity inside a nautical exclusion zone around the Al Basrah Oil terminal (ABOT) February 3, 2010 50 kilometers off the coast of Iraq in the Northern Arabian Gulf. ABOT is currently protected by US and UK sailors and Marines assigned to Combined Joint Task Force Iraq Maritime in a mission that also emphasizes working with Iraqi forces to develop their capability to soon secure the terminal themselves.
