Safa'a Salah,22, holds her baby outside her home January 27, 2011 in the village of Hawamdeya, about 20 kilometers southwest of the capital, Cairo. Although Salah lives outside Cairo, away from where the recent protests have taken place, she and others in her village have been riveted by the local events they see on local television. Despite agreeing wholeheartedly with the root causes of the unrest, high unemployment, high inflation and corruption, they do not see themselves participating as they don't agree with the tactics of the protesters..Slug: Egypt.Credit: Scott Nelson for the New York Times
