A crack runs through an Egyptian wall June 6, 2009 at a house in a village in New Gourna, Egypt on the west bank of the Nile river in Luxor. Villagers of Gourna were evicted from their old mud brick homes built atop ancient tombs and passageways in the nearby hills, and forced to resettlle in new homes provided by the local Egyptian government. Although the homes are barely older than two years, numerous large cracks such as this one are visible in nearly all of this villages homes.(Photo by Scott Nelson, for the Times)
