Egyptian farmers and water conservation activists discuss irrigation and water conservation at the edge of a rice field August 05, 2008 in the Delta town of Bahr el-Sheik Ibrahim, 130 kilometers NW of Cairo. Because an estimated 80% of Egypt's total available fresh water is used for irrigation of agricultural land, efforts are under way to improve the countries methods of water conservation and irrigation efficiency.
