An Afghan worker constructs a section of roofing for a grain silo as part of a civil affairs project overseen by the U.S. Army 489th Civil Affairs Battalion June 8, 2002 in Kunduz, Afghanistan. The 489th has overseen a number of humanitarian projects in the area recently, including construction of a school for 4,000 Afghan girls and a Teacher's University, as part of the ongoing Operation Enduring Freedom.
