Away from the Egyptian demonstrations that have raged for the past two days, life goes on in the village of Hawamdeya,January 27, 2011, about 20 kilometers southwest of the capital, Cairo. Although Salah lives outside Cairo, away from where the recent protests have taken place,she and others in her village have been riveted by the local events they see on local television.
