US Army 101st Airborne 3-187 "Bravo" company soldiers coordinate troop movements for a 23 July, 2002 sensitive site exploitation (SSE) mission into Southeastern Afghanistan. The three day mission in the town of Narizah, was intended to deny sanctuary to Al Qaida and Taliban fighters in villages along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and resulted in the recovery of several weapons caches and one Afghan detained for questioning.
