Newly replaced lamp posts line the sidewalk along the road behind the Luxor temple June 7, 2009 in Luxor, Egypt. Local officials have embarked on a 30 year redevelopment plan in Luxor and the surrounding area that will cost an estimated total of 5 billion Egyptian pounds (nearly 200 million US dollars.)
