Egyptian workers excavate and reconstruct a portion of the grand walkway between the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex June 7, 2009. Local officials have embarked on a 30 year redevelopment plan in Luxor and the surrounding area that will cost an estimated total of 5 billion Egyptian pounds (nearly 200 million US dollars.)
