US Army 101st Airborne 3-187 "Bravo" company soldiers rest as they fly out by helicopter early 23 July, 2002 for a sensitive site exploitation (SSE) mission into Southeastern Afghanistan. The three day mission, intended to deny sanctuary to Al Qaida and Taliban fighters in villages along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border resulted in the recovery of several weapons caches and one Afghan detained for questioning.
